Jagran Pehel recently participated in the first Global Summit on the Looming Co-Epidemic of Diabetes and Tuberculosis at Bali, Indonesia on 2nd and 3rdNovember 2015, hosted by The Union against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease, The government of Indonesia and the World Diabetes Foundation.
The project aims to help light hundreds of lives by converting a school located in a remote village called Kishunpur on the Bithoor-Shivrajpur road into a solar-powered school.
Six of the 10 countries projected to have the greatest numbers of people living with diabetes by the year 2035- China, India, Brazil, Indonesia, Pakistan and the Russian Federation-are also classified as high TB burden countries by the World Health Organization.
National Level dissemination workshop was organized to share the findings of the evaluation of “A Multi Media Approach for Awareness Generation on Gestational Diabetes and its Management in selected districts of India”.
